Popeye is when the eye of the fish is protruding [POPED OUT]. Cloudy is just that...they eyes are cloudy.

hippo seems to be getting better by itself it was hiding for 2 days and wouldnt come out and i thought he was dead one time because he was between these 2 pvc pipes looking very dead to me, but i just let him be and this morning he is out swiming and eating eating and eating, and the cloudyness has gone away in one eye, and the other eyes is less cloudy, but now has a white spot on the center of it, it may be a small piece agronite from laying on the bottom for 2 days, but i cant really tell because he wont hold still long enough for me to see.

Yes, cloudy eyes can be associated with ich, but also could be a bacterial infection.
Are you feeding the fish garlic soaked food? You should. Garlic also has a mild antibiotic quality.

Beth,
I myself am currently not using the garlic soaked food. But it seems like this ma be a good practice. Can you feed the fish garlic soaked food even if they are showing signs of ich?
PS My sailfin tang every once in a while will show a cloudy eye. Then it goes away. He did have a severe case of ich about 6 months ago.

the cloudy eye has gone away, i did some reading and i think that it was caused by to much air in the water, from my power head would accasionally spit air in the tank. from making a whirlpool effect. i lowered the powerhead deeper in the tank a few days ago and its clearing up everyday, today its gone
