Hippo Tang Count

Can you keep 2 small Hippo Tangs in a 90? or will they fight? or territory issues? If i introduce them together? regards

its usually not advised to keep 2 tangs of the same genus in the same tank (normal sizes). is the 90 6' long? because some people will tell you not have even one hippo if not. they need lots of room to swim and get very big

Im not the culprit but Ive seen two in a 75 and they have been there a couple years. the bigger one does kind of follow the smaller one around sometimes so the smaller one has to swim at the back of the tank for a little bit but they dont fight or anything. just good old intimidation.

these perticular tangs do better in groups but some may say a 90 is to small

Yeah i'm new and stuff,but I kept a Small Blue-Hippo Tang in a 12-Gallon! for awhile now and she has been fine :happyfish Yes I know that is downright TINY for her but she is also 2 inches so....yea

I refuse to be in a flame war about that size btw

yeah... well i hope you upgrade or get rid of it i feel bad..
im thinking about one in my 90 with my yellow.. i have future and acclimation plans , all planned precise :cheer:

Oh don't worry in July we are planning on upgrading to a 125-gallon :thinking:
by time it grows large it will already have 125-gallons to roam in :happyfish
