I havent ever gotten any hitch hikers, no matter how bad i want them. Ive had one little red mushroom and thats it. What kind of liverock is thebest to get hitchhikers? Is it better to get bigger rock, or "newer rock"?

In answer to your question, You probably should feed the scallop, but most always they die in captivity no matter how hard you try to keep them alive! But I guess you are aware of that now! LOL
Sorry about your loss!!!
