Hitchhiker clam attached to my Maxima

I thought it was piece of rock that my maxima is attached to but during feeding it opened up.Sorry for the crappy pic.
It's on the left side of the bottom of the clam,opened up.Should I try to remove it?

I would not try to remove it. It will probably move on its own since clams can move around using they foot. You got lucky my friend, congrats!

Thanks but I don't feel lucky..the hitchhiiker is just a plain,'ol,ugly white one.Also, it's tipping my maxima to one side so it's even more difficult for me to get my Maxima to attach
