Hitchhiker... clam?

Here's one for you all. Got a rock with 9 shrooms yesterday... good size too. Noticed it had a half dozen barnacles (I think) and some mini stripped brittle stars. Then I noticed that the rock some of the barnacle things were on had a jagged crack in it... that suddenly closed.

Clam of some kind? Does it need light? Do I need to provide it with special food? This my best hitchhiker to date and I would like to keep it alive. It doesn't appear to open more that about 1mm... at least so far.
It's about 1.5" across and looks like it would eat your finger if it could.

Thanks for lookin.

that definitely looks like either a clam or an oyster. Has it opened up anymore yet?

Looks like the mouth of the monster that lives in the closet, or under the bed

Just checked... still only open like 1mm. lights are off and the mushrooms are 'sleeping' so I can see it much better now.

I know. Nightmares for a month now.

When I look in there, I feel like its looking back at me...

Ah. Ok, with that then, here is what I found.
Lopha cristagalli. Indo-Pacific
My hermits may be an issue. They may pick at any exposed flesh. It eats lots of Phytoplankton.
Thanks for the info. We'll see how it goes.

Thanks again ,Cranberry.
I've got the phyto, so I guess I'll just have to give this some extra care and hope for the best.
