hitchhiker question

Does anyone else end up with tons of serpent and brittle stars that come as hitchhikers? Every time I flip over a rock I see one it seems like. I can also see them all throughout the substrate. I'm just wondering if I'm getting really lucky (since I see these for sale for $10 each at the LFS) or if this is common.

I bought a couple small pieces of live rock a few days ago, and got no hitchhickers. Lucky you. I wish i would get a few tooo. :yes:

I never get quite that lucky either, just bristle worms!! lol.

Odds are, if you have LR, you have these. They are Amphipholis squamata, and they do not get larger than a nickel or so...they are white and small, some others are Ophiactis and have striped arms...but it is unlikely they are large species.. These little guys reproduce well in our tanks....if you get one, you will get many.
