I just bought a Toadstool/Xenia combo rock and i put it in the tank, and now there is an anemone type thing on the rock with it. I was wondering if it was an aptesia or whatever those nuisence anemones are. It is purpleish brown with skinny tenticals and a white mouth with i line extening throught it. How should i kill it? I have seen people that have shot it with lemon juice, but i dont want to hurt the coral that is it connected to.. :( Will this hurt tjhe coral it is connected to? I will post pictures in about 5 minutes.

Ok well. i Cant get a picture due to a lack of CAMERA. How would you normally KILL an aptesia anemone, beucase whatever it is i could care less if i lose it. Dont forget there is Xenia and a Toadstoll connected to the rock that this amenone is residing IN.

Just use a very small amount of lemon juice or boiling water and shoot it in the mouth. The other corals should be fine just be careful and dont use to much. If the anemone detaches, make sure you scoop it out

Depending on how close it is to other corals you can shoot boiling water in it, use joe's juice, or the lemon juice but if you get any of these on the corals it could harm them. You can also get peppermint shrimp which some will eat them but some like the one I got won't.
