I just got some live rock for my first time and it has worm looking things all over most are pinkish orange and some are white. the white ones kind of look like small tape worms, i will rey to post some pics. the guy at the lfs said that they were benificial but i cant find any info on them at anywere. can anyone can help me identify them

Really difficult to say based on the photos....but I'd suggest a search for peanut worms.....

Bristle worms :thinking: Some say beneficial...some say nuisence! I personally do not like them much. One or two is ok......I guess. If the tank is crawling with them I would get a coralbanded shrimp. He will clean them up for you. They can populate.

maybe this pic is better. it has a long thin tentical, i circle the whole worm, the tentical is kind of hard to see

When it retracts...does it look like a slinky? kinda retracting up into itself. Shine a flashlight on it at night.
