i just recently got some live rock from the ocean and have alot of brittle star fish hitchhicking and wanted to know if i could put them and a little purple crab that i found in my fish only tank???

The crab may eat the stars, but I am not sure.
I don't know about ocean to aquarium WITHIN Hawaii, but taking live rock out the state of Hawaii is a felony. I would recommend checking out the legality of what you did, and if need be, hush up about where the rock came from.

no,i didnt take them,the rocks from hawaii,i live here and i happen to come across a few.i already know about taking them from hawaii and shippin them here,it is a big hassel.but thanks for the info

I used to live in Florida, and harvesting live rock is illegal. It doesn't matter if you are taking it 200 feet from the reef to your aquarium, or shipping it to Chicago, its the same crime.
Taking live rock out of The State of Hawaii is a MAJOR crime. Are you allowed to keep it at home, as long as "home" is within Hawaii?
