I keep on meaning to ask what this is - I see them all the time on live rocks and finally remembered to ask - its the brown looking anenome/flower looking think in the middle of the picture.

It's a pest Anemone called Aiptasia.

No do not pull it off.That will make it spread real fast.Just use a little joes juice on it.

ok thanks - what do they do if you leave them in there - I know they spread, but do they hurt your fish or something? Its wierd I have never had to deal with these before, I have always heard about the dreaded anenome, but have never had one to deal with?

from what i've read they are - I believe they are the begginings of them, maybe the babies? nuke it - LOL - Just kidding - I do not have much knowledge with these things - but I believe that it is.
