got my order from SWF yesterday and today i have noticed a hitchiker that came out from the middle of my sea mat colony.
it is a pink slug looking creature with many tentacles all over it, probably 10-12 of these tentacles. the whole thing is about 1.5 inches long. any ideas as to what this is?

well... you could be talking about a bristleworm or some kind of a nudibranch/slug... take out and discard when possible. I for one wouldn't take any chances with unidentified stuff like that...

if it looks like a centipede, it would be a bristle worm, good things, leave tehm in
if it looks like a slug, it would more than likely be a nudibranch, which are not a problem, unless they eat soemthing you want to keep, nudis are finicky eaters, adn only eat one thing, so it will prbalby die eventually anyhow, unless you keep food for it, like berghia eat only aptaisia anemones, no others,a nd other species might eat one type of algae,a nd so on, so if it is not eating something you want to keep, he will not hurt anything either

it is deffinately not a bristle worm. i have been watching it, it clearly moves like a slug and has two distict feelers in the front of it, like a slug or a snail would have. i am looking on the nwt for a picture.

Sounds like a nucibranch to me, I have quite a few in my tank and have never seen them bother anything.
Good luck with the ID!
