We have one of those too.Not sure what it is though.He's a tiny little guy and disappears for a week at a time and then just reappears.I wonder if he buries himself?Hopefully someone can help us here?

asterina star. generally harmless, though there are a few pest species of them. in general they are just algae grazers. the couple pest species can prey on corals. Even a starfish expert cannot tell them apart at a glance.
I wouldnt worry though the occurences of the pest species of them are few and far between.

i have a few of them in my tank but mine seem to be a little more orange. they have reproduced from me just seeing one of them to me being able to see about 5 at a time in my tank.
