i have this skilter 400 its a totalsystem combining chemical &menchanical &biological filtertion it says its ideal for sw tanks 30 to 100 g and has ps bilt in it any way if u ask me i think it junk so i took out the bio matrrix filters and put a lot of lettel pices of lr in it with some hemitcrabs and snails put a light on top of it and am wondering if this is better fo my tank for now till i get the money to billed my sump or do u think i should put it the way it was would like to now what if any problums i could have if any

i would keep it like it was, run some carbon and/or some filter floss and you're good to go, i would save the other part for the sump. that''s my O. someone else can share their $02.

Well, what are you doing for mechanical and chemical filtration now? The live rock will provide biological filtration, but it's nice to have mechanical and chemical to polish the water and trap particles.
Also, please consider punctuation in future posts. That was rather hard to read.

i put bags carbon on top lr where the water runs out. that will polish the water whene its clear ill take theme out. sorry for the spelling ill try harde typing not my thing lol
