HOB powerfilter recomendation

Its for in a 10 gal reef. Was thinking on using a hob type such as a Aqua Clear 50 or 70, and converting part of the filters media chamber to live rock rubble as well. I have never used an AC before so I am wondering if it would be too much flow....I had intended to use one of the hob types I already had, but for some reasons decided to not use them and go with a new hob powerfilter. Any suggestions? I may even go with a used 15 gal tank I have in use for FW, but thats still up in the air....
Right now I want the tank to be a small reef tank, and eventually it will be changed over to a QT tank when I get my larger tank setup completed

That filter does not have sufficient room to make a suitable refugium in.
My goal is a power filter with sufficient room to place heater as well as LR rubble. Flow is not a problem as the impeller can always be cut down in diameter to reduce flow.
So now my new rephrased question is anyone have a Aqua Clear 110/500 model power filter and if so what dimensions is it. Is it much larger than the AC 70 size?
Thanks

Just go to Walmart and look in the pet section. They have a bunch of hob filters at very reasonable prices. I got 660gph for about $40.

I already have an Aqua Clear 110/500 filter on its way for a lot less that filters from Wally World. NOne of the filters there come even close to having such a large filter chamber as a AC110/500 filter which is the most important part of the filter in turning it into a fuge. The AC filter is rated for up to a 110 gal tank, and has a huge filter chamber idealy suited for a fuge with just the additon of a baffle or two and a light.......
