I used to watch every Washington Capitals game when I was living in DC. They are still my team but I don't watch it on TV anymore. I do check the paper to see how they're doing though.

I dont follow professional hockey anymore but I love the sport! I played roller hockey for about 7 years for the all star traveling team in AZ when I was younger. I still love it even though I dont get to play anymore.

I'm originally from MI, so it's the Red Wings. My wife is originally from MN and became a Stars fan when they relocated to Dallas. We have a healthy competition going on. We really have a blast when the Wings come to town and I wear my Wings jersey and she wears her Stars jersey to the AAC. We really draw a lot of attention. Of course, most folks gang up on me but I just smile and say "three cups in six years. How about you?" That usually shuts 'em up......

I feel for hockey, what was once a great sport has dwindled to almost nothing and IMO, is on par with MLS. I used to go to Blackhawk game (the tickets are almost free) and there is no action anymore...where are the fights? It seems like the linesman steps in as soon as something breaks out and that's not what I want to see.

I'm glad to see the Blackhawks are playing well. They've been in a rebuilding stage for a few years and hopefully this will be the season it starts to payoff. The second game against the Wings was impressive. They scored three unanswered goals, and our second goal by Draper was actually knocked in by Khabibulin - and it was at the Joe, which isn't an easy place to play. They're young and aggressive, a team to watch. And BTW, in the 80's, we were known as the "Dead Things". Just thought you'd like to know.....
