They will breed every month if I let them and produce 20 - 50 fry. I usually keep the female away from the male for 2 weeks after he releases the fry. I target feed him to regain the mass lost while carrying. If they are bred repeatedly without a break the male will lose a lot of mass and eventually cannot carry fry to full term. It appears the Females are capable of breeding once a week if they are well fed.
I sell the fry to local hobbiests and fish stores in Western NY.

I had that problem with my PJ's none of the males carried to full term! Would you be interested in selling a few Breeding Pairs? Give me a good price and I'll pay for shipping and boxing!

I was afraid you'd ask that
I can't spare any breeding pairs and I sell them as fast as they are ready. If you would like I could sell you some immature Banggai ($) or I could set several aside until they breed and then sell them to you (6 months + $$$). I'm sorry, but I'm just not equipped to sell pairs right now.

Hola:
Your PJs wont' carry to full term. Banggai cards (no relation to Bang Guy) are the ONLY known apogon which carries to 7 days past hatching. All other apogon release planktonic larvae, usually around day 7-12.
So one days you'll see a mouthful, then a week later there will be planktonic size fry (of course unless you are looking for these dust specs you won't see them) swimming into the filters, overflow, skimmer, etc
