We have never had any problems with our children or family excepting a new child. Everyone was and is very excited about Ethan joining our family. We included the kids in picking a name for thier new brother. We orig went into this adoption wanting a girl, but found a son. They were suprised they were getting a brother, but very happy.
There are so many children here and internationaly that need loving homes. We have experianced three different types of adoption. Our oldest two were thru foster care here they are bio siblings, our youngest daughter was thru a private agency, though she was a special needs adoption, and our new son is international special needs. If you would like a good place to get to know others that have adopted or are in the process, just let me know.
How old are your children? I know lots of families with both bio and adopted children and have never heard of any major problems.

Our children are young, 11 months and 2.5 years. If we do it, it won't be till they are around 9-10 and we are inclinded to adopt a slightly older child, 4-8. Seems like the little ones get adopted and are in demand and because of that, we'd like to give a child who is a little older a family and before he/she is really put through the system.

are you thinking domestic foster care or international? There are plenty older kids in both. I know in china, if a child isnt adopted by the age of 14 they cant be. They are concidered adults and have to go to work
I would love to go back and adopt a 4 to 5 yr old little girl.

Its people like you that make this world a better place. Your story brings tears to my eyes. You and your husband are very sweet and caring. I also hope to adopt someday, my husband is from Russia and there are so many unwanted children there it breaks my heart.
