Homemade Acrylic fuge

So I'm planning on building a fuge for the back of my 20g long. Can you guys give me any suggestions/comments on my design. You can see where I want the skimmer, is this ok?

Here's where the placement of it would be.

Look very similar to a CPR aquafuge, I think it will work fine but how are you going to feed the fuge? Are you building the skimmer?

well, I kinda wanted to use a skimmer I had from my nanowave 9 since it's just sitting around not being used. If I find out it's not gonna work then I'll just pull it out.

And it being mocked up ready to get glued...bought the wrong stuff so I gotta figure out what I should get. Any suggestions?

You need Weld on but I not sure of the numbers you need seems like it is weld on #1, there web site will tell you for sure though.
