I decided I would give it a go at making my own fish food. Here is what I have/is going in:
1/4 lb raw shrimp
1/4 lb scallops
1/2 lb oysters
1/3 lb crab meat
12 little neck clams
1 can Bumble Bee Tiny Shrimp
Garlic
Selcon
Julian Sprungs Dried Sea Weed
ZooMax
Here is my question - In the shrimp ingredients is citric acid and disodium phosphate - Any reason to concern about adding it in the mix?
Also - I have about a half a pack of Rod's that I was going to mix in with the homemade food. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Ryan

i wouldnt use the canned stuff at all....especially if the lable says anything about phosphates....i use pretty much all the ingrediants you stated i also add white flesed fish like cod, flounder ect,the canned stuff.i would leave out...i pick up a cheap ( 8.00) mini food prosessor, put all the stuff in and kinda pulse chopped it,i place it in a zip lock baggie, flatten it out and freeze it,when i feed i break off a piece and melt it in some tank water, the fish love it...and i know exactly what they are eating.HTH
