He is trying to brush of parasites. Don't panic. This is an instinctual behavior. If he begins to do this more than usual, it means something is wrong i.e. he is infected to a parasite. Fish with ick with do this constantly.

I would try to catch him and put him in qt if you haven't done so.

Do you have a qt tank set up? I would not just assume that the fish scratching means that there is a parasite, but if you never quarantined them then it is very possible. Do you see any spots on the fish or the fins and tail? What are your water readings for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, ph, kh, sg, and temp?
