I bought 200 gallons of tropic Marine Salts through big als on line for $37 dollars plus I think it was $13 shipping so I paid $50 for it. It is amazing what stores get for there supplies once you start looking on line or even wholesale. Damn do the jake the price up at least 200% it seems.

The thing that I like best was that I didn't have to pay shipping. Plus it came with the little power head. I do know that Instant Ocean is a little more pricy then some other brands, but is it really better?

There's a lfs 5 minutes from my house.
Best darn prices for hard goods in town.
The promotional 200 gallons IO bucket with minijet powerhead for around $47.00 bucks.
Have yet to get down to where the powerhead is located in the salt. Reminds me of digging through a box of cereal as a kid :p
Normally he sells this 200 IO for $35.00 bucks.
Very hard to beat this price.
I don't know what his cost is on this stuff - but I've always wondered if he makes much money on his saltmix sales. If he does - other places are making a ton then !

I think a normal markup from whosale to retail is around 200%. Look at how much fast food resteraunts make off of one cup of soda. They charge you around $1.50-$2.00 and there cost is only like .10 max! including cup and straw!
