Just thought I'd share the progression on our house...its now day....3 or 4 i think and we have most of the 1st and 2nd floor framed...flying by...but should be done in about 38days or so...

Our good ol Slab...basement would have been nice but it wasnt offered and would have been like 30k extra:

Day one of building:

sorry about the crazy pics...it was partially dark so using a sensitive setting and make parts look a little crazy

A new house for your tanks! Very, very exciting!
You better keep posting pics of the progress. I wanna see pics of everything along the way--insulation, drywall, stucco/siding, samples of carpet, tile, and counters, potential paint colors, sketches of furniture placement, etc!!! Ok, I'm kind of a geek when it comes to new homes; I tour model homes just for giggles. Hopefully you live close to your new place, 'cause if you're anything like me, you'll be out there several times a week taking pics and just checkin' out everything.

thats gonna be an awsome house! you should have a wall made with an aquarium built into it! that would be easier than doing it later.

no idea...they have a seperate crew for everything of course..but the people building the houses know the faster they go the more jobs they get i'm sure...the only bad thing is even if they get the house framed early the next crew won't come until they were actually scheduled since they have other houses they are working on..but its 41 build day is great in my opinion

Nice so far... I think.
Just make sure all the studs are plumb and straight cause if a wall is out of whack and they don't notice it til the end, it's a pain to fix...
Have you walked around with the level yet??
Your contractor's gonna hate me, LOL..
Nothing worse than a homeowner coming in taking pics and verifying levelage while construction is underway!
Your stairs, will that be a kneewall or a balcony. It looks framed up to be a knee wall...
Looks like they are flying through it!!
You must be so excited!
Oh and the lake view... Nice.

Drop an orange...see if it rolls.
Hey, I worked construction. I've seen houses that were 4 inches outa level front to back!!
I'm trying to think of things for you to look for.
It looks like it's gonna be a nice house and with 2800 square feet, you should be most comfy...
