Okay guys I have 2 questions for you. What are tubs, and are all zoos that small? Most pics leave one to think they are quarter sized at least

Tks, Steve

Zoo's are usually like the size of a pencil eraser maybe a little bigger and Palys are the size of about a quarter. The tub question I dont know.

Now they are Tiz's blues.

WELL THEY ARE!!!
Too funny Tizzo!
Alright, got a better picture; don't believe that these are tubs, although the colors appear similar. These are small for zoas, some of the smallest I've ever seen. About the circumference of the clicker on a ball-point when fully open, which is why its so darn hard to get a picture of them.

Also have this one I got from a fellow reefer

Any thoughts?

Can someone tell me how to get rid of Zoa eating Nudis? I dipped mine in iodine when I first got them, then found two nudis snacking away. I plucked them, didn't see any for a while, but the eggs were laid, and now I have about 20... will potassium permanganate hurt the zoas?

As far as I know..... a freshwater R/O dip will get them off. As far as time in the dip, I don't recall.
The potassium permanganate is better served on Monti-eating Nudis.

I leave mine in an R/O dip for about 15 minutes. I do this with any wild colony I get. I shake it back and forth while holding the rock/frag upside down. You can see the stuff falling off of it.

GrouperGenius is my favoritist reefer at the moment!
He knows how to hook a hobbiest up. Just about every coral frag I have came from his tank.
But he charges SO MUCH MONEY!!!
....

But it's so worth it... beautiful corals. Yours and mine.

To late to edit...
My zoas were a "gift" also.
But I woulda paid big... wait... what I meant was... Somebody woulda paid big money for these.

Anyway, thanks GG

Mike, since you started this thread with some of my tubs...her's a recent pic of the mother colony. This started as a 15 polyp frag 8 months ago. And I have taken several off of it.
