How about this fish list for a 55 gal

I was looking around the internet and ran an article that I found interesting. It was on saltaquarium.about.com dealing with sitting up a 55 gal FOWLR tank. They were going through the steps of sitting it up and came down to the fish to put in the tank.
Here is the suggestions they had:
NASO TANG
YELLOW TANG
MATED PAIR PERCS
FLAME ANGEL
This site has several articles about how to start and keep av saltwater tank. How could someone who claims to know this hobby suggest this list for a 55gal tank.

personally i wouldnt go with the tangs.. sure at a small size they would be fine for a little while in a 55 gallon tank, but they can get quite large and there really isnt enough space for them.
i myself have a 55 gallon long tank, and would have liked tangs as well, but decided against it.
if you really want tangs i would suggest upgrading to a larger tank.

This is not a list for my tank. This is a list from an "expert" that they are saying would work nicely in a 55 gal tank. A Naso would grow over a foot long, it would not have room to turn around.

I agree, that list you posted is not appropriate and was irresponsible on their part. The only tangs I think that should be in a 55 are the 6" like kole and tomini....

what size tank would two tangs (1.5 long) fit in without fitting

i've had a yellow tang be happy and healthy in a 55 gallon tank but you should not have 2 tangs together unless your tank is over 100 gallons.

Get a very small yellow tang, pair of percula's and the flame angel very last and it should work. i have a yellow in a 55 so it will work
