How are your PC lights mounted?

Stupid question maybe, but I'm looking to upgrade from my stock hood soon to a power compact lighting system and don't know how to put it over the tank when I get rid of the old hood.
Someone help this beginner out please?

hey i got pcs over my 55 bout 3 months back,what size is your tank??? i went through all the trouble of building a canopy and all of that, but the cheapest way to do it is to buy a fixture like a 2 bulb and have it on top of your tank most fixtures come with mountin legs just by those and set it up as is(no money for canopy, no extra fans, less heat, easier to get to your tank) thats the way to go id say, just try to keep it at atleast 200 watts for your tank to keep softs and stonys

here is how mine are mounted.. its the coralife aqualite. they come in thier own fixture thats slim and the fan on it are extreamly quiet.. its just sits on the mounting legs. thats how i have mine

My lights are the same as Skirrby's. I also use the mounting legs made for the coralife lights. Yes, my tank is topless too... The lighting fixture does have a thin sheet of "plexiglass" to prevent water from spraying into the light fixture.
