You guys could move to the beach and just sorta claim The ocean as your own personal aquarium. Just think, you would not have to add anything! NO skimming-NO filters-NO testing-NO power bill. Just look and enjoy. . .(i don't know haw many 000's that is though)

I like the longer tanks like the 180 gallon 72" long. I have a 16' long wall in my Living Room with my 75 gallon on it. The wall looks a little bare. (Wife even said so) "We need a bigger tank"! The lFS has a 180 reef and it is sweet.
For a Fish only, I saw an acrylic tank site where you can get one 10' x 4' x 5'. THAT would keep me entertained for a while.
Then again. . .there is a thread on here about a 2700 gallon built in the wall that blows that away!

Barebottom philosophy with thin layer of sand that I will vaccuum/maintain to make the tank look nice.
Ya, I'm pumped. Just gotta get through engineering school. I have this perfect idea I got last night on our way to prom in the limo. As long as you don't tell anybody (It's all mine, I have good intentions with the money), I plan on making cupholders that don't spill your drink when you hit a bump. I will make it with a water type sleeve, so when it hits, The water and the drink keep moving but slow down instead of hitting every little bump. It's sortof like a tupperware container with an egg in it filled with water; the egg is pretty hard to break.

You said DREAM tank... My DREAM tank would be an undergound saltwater reef pool.
But my realistic goal is a 72W"x36D"x22H"(or 20"H)240/245 ish gallon tank in wall viewable from both sides...

For me - my dream tank would be a reasonable size - but connected to a pipe out 500 yards from my beachhouse in Maui so waterchanges wouldn't be such a chore...
