how big for a jawfish

I have one in a 150, but he doesn't swim at all except to catch food and look for shells for his cave. I don't think size is a real big deal with these fish. I don't even have a real deep sandbed, and it doesn't seem to matter to this guy, he mounded up a pile of sand and collected some frag rocks and shells for his cave. I have heard they create alot of cloudiness from digging, but mine only dug a few hrs and doesn't stir up any sand now. I have had him for 8 months and he is thriving.

What do you have the jawfish in with? I've always wanted one but not sure if it would be compatible with my tankmates.

I have blennies, gobies, anthias, clown, wrasses, mandarin, tang, angel, i guess about every kind of community fish and they all ignore my jaw, and visa versa. If they come to close to his cave he hunkers down and opens his mouth wide to let them know he is protecting his home, but never bites them, his false fierceness doesn't scare them off though, they know hes harmless. Heres a pic of him when its meal time, you rarely see more then his head until then unless he is sneaking around looking for shells.

Here he is guarding his cave and where he stays all the time

I just got a pearly jaw yesterday (wifey let me go even more over budget this month, but i don't expect anything next month
). lfs had it for 1.5 weeks and i'd visited it a couple days here and there. It constantly burried itself and moved from one cave to the next, but never bothered any of the other fish. It's not too happy in the QT without sand or anything other than some pvc fittings though so i'll be putting in a cup tonight when i get home.
make sure your tank has a cover!!!!!
