How big of tank for a SFE for life?

I have a 56 gallon tank 36X20X18. Is that big enough for a snow flake eel for life?

i wouldnt do it due to the length. Most say a 55g is large enough because it is a 4' footer.

i think you might get away with it but i really would like to see bigger

I have mine in a 55. It's a baby now so I can't say whether it is absolutely adequate but I asked around a lot before I bought him and most people said it would be just fine. I bought him with the idea of NOT upgrading, so I can't say from experience it will work but I can say that I asked a lot of people that said it would be fine.
