how can I catch a fish that's really fast?

I have a banded sleeper goby that is a good additon to my tank, except for one thing: he spreads sound around like a madman. He even will take a mouthful of sand, swim to the top of the tank, then spit it out on top of my corals and live rock. This has gotten to be a pain, and I think I've come to the point where I'm going to try to catch him and return him to the lfs. How can I catch him without destroying everything else in the tank. I can't remove the LR (no extra tank), so what should I do? :notsure:

Pure luck. 2L coke bottle tick, which also requires pure luck. Yes, it only works with coca-cola bottles ;) Pure luck.
Deciding to pick up a $5-10 rubber maid tub, make up some sw, add it to the tub, and start dismantling your tank. Its a pain. Best of luck.

removal of all of my life rock was the only way I got 3 damsels out of a itty bitty 18 gallon. Hope you catch him, I would think about doing a search on the coke bottle fish trap, apparently it has worked for quite a few people on here.

Trap or manual catching. I like the trap method but i've had to go after an undulated in a 90 with a vengence. I dont like catching fish with nets but he needed to come out.

I got lucky removing a couple damsels out of my small tank. I use a small trukey baster type shringe to feed brine shrimp every so often and the damsels would swim up to it and try to take the shrimp right out of the nozzle. So I stuck it about an inch down in the water and just barely squeezed it so a couple little shrimp came out and when the damsels were too distracted eating I had my roomate net them from behind. Worked great but I doubt the Goby will eat shrimp like they did. I don't know much about them. But it might be worth a try.

Well, I'll try anything. I do think he's probably good for the sandbed, stirring it up and all, but he leave's everything a mess...
I have a sand-shifting starfish, and he does a good job, I guess. Is there a type of fish that performs a similar function as my goby without so much mess? Should I even bother with trying to get something to stir up the sand(besides the starfish)? I've always heard it was good for it...
