how come lowes and home depo has 250 watt mh for 25 bucks and we pay so much more for our mh?
im just asking i saw them there the other day and just wanted to ask? are the different or the same thing?

Those are magnetic ballasts and not electronic. The bulbs are not the same kelvin rating nor are they made for aquatic use.

check the kelvin color spectrum. bet they are only 3500k or less,
our salt tanks need at least 6500k or higher.
