How did your cycle go??

I am getting ready to start my 4th week of cycling and I realize that everyone's cycle is different so I thought it would be cool to read how they went?? Post the time it took the amonia to spike, Nitrites to spike and when the cycle was complete. Also, list what you used to cycle the tank.
Here is mine:
I used 2 damsels and aquarium starter. I started before I found this site so I wouldn't have done either one of those after reading the posts on here. (raw shrimp all the way baby! :) )
It took appox 5 days to spike the amonia.
It took another 5 days to spike the trites.
Amonia is was 0 after about 7 days but trites are .40 still.
Does anyone have any suggestions of why the trites would hang on like that? I read somewhere that sometimes starter will do that???

Actually the nitrite cycle will take 2 or 3 weeks as it takes the second stage bateria to develop longer that it does the first stage to do.
I am still cycling my 90. That started with a raw prawn on 12/23/02. I have not done anything other than add dry sand and base rock. I have not tested for anything, just letting nature take her course.

my cycle was strange. I never saw any sign of ammonia or nitrite. I tested my water with different test kits, different fish stores and all had the same readings. Ammonia-0, Nitrite-0. I added 25 lbs rock, few damsels to start the cycle and parameters never changed. Its been 6 months now and everything is going strong, only loss was a blue tang to ich:( Guess i was lucky.

CldBurton - I use a 10 gallon tank for water changes, I was going to use it as a nano tank but never did. A 29 gallon which is no longer in use, a 55 with crushed coral, saddle filters,powerheads, using chemi pure, kent reef carbon, and poly filters. My 90 is still cycling with wet/dry,spraybar, velocity T-3 external pump, 50 pounds of baserock, 80 pounds of southdown playsand. A member of many boards and read all the time on this hobby, so as far as my knowledge goes it's in part thanks to others on these forums, but thanks and mmync for the vote of confidence.
Always learning something new, never an expert.

3 week cycle. I added lr, ls, salt, and water. Used a damsil for the second week. On my 5 week all is going strong. levels all good.
