How do I build my own tank????

Thank you to those who took the time to reply to my "where to purchase a tank" question. Some suggested that I could build my own tank. I would like to know how to do this and where to get started, which would be easier, glass or aqualic.. You guys are the best.. Thanks in advance.

The big question...do you want an all glass or an acrylic? very important they both have pros and cons, glass is heavy but scratch resistant and it looks great, acrylic looks better but get one scratch then two then your in for an ugly tank after a couple of years. I prefer glass, heavy but clear. You can both custom made if you want just do some more research. IMO
