I have done fresh water aquariums forever, but I am fairly new to marine aquariums. My tank is about 2 months old (55 Gal), and I am about to do a water change on it. I was wondering, how can I syphon the tank without vacuming all the sand up with it? And how often should I vacume the substrate? My substrate is half aragonite/half live sand and is 3 inches deep.
