Good Morning to all
How do I get my Zoo's to grow faster and spread on to other rocks in my tank. I have been purchasing frags of zoo's that are of awsome colors and would like to also know how do you frag zoo's ?

I've found zoo growth to be proportional to the cost of the frag........blue zoos, one polyp every three months....orange center with brown skirts, one every three minutes

Not always. Some good looking and expensive zoos still grow fast. The most important part (assuming a good light source) is good water quality. I have heard that smoother rocks are likely to be more condusive to zoo growth. I have about 25 or more variety of zoos and they all grow at different rates. Some barely reproduce at all for me. Some double every month or two. Sometimes those fast growers will slow down for a while too. I assume because of water quality.

I don't have a good answer for you, but my orange zoos are almost to the point of being a nuisance. I started with a frag of 4-5 polyps and now have 2 clusters of 80+ polyps in a matter of 8 months. They are in a 12gal nano cube and are taking up way to much of my rock. I am afraid to try fraging them for fear of killing them off.

Fragging them is simple. Just cut under the polyp with a razor knife or some similar sharp object. Then glue down to a small rock with super glue gel. There's very little risk and it's really quite easy.

Amen to that!!
I am always looking at my expensive pieces waiting for new polyps and nothing! The cheap ones have new polps every day it seems.
