How do I know if I have pods?

I purchased 200 pods on my lasy order and put 1/2 in the tank and 1/2 in my small (8 gal) fuge tank. How do I know if they are triving/surviving?

get a magnifying glass and look at the substrate where it piles up on the glass. Be very patient they are fast and small

They are more active at night time too. I look at my tank at night with a flashlight when the lights are off and I see them everywhere
