not really.... u can try leaving the lights off for the whole day... so that the damsal can find a 'safe place''
see if that helps...

Honestly...get rid of it or get it into a seperate tank. Most Damsels are mean and naturally bully other fish if they can. It'll continue to pick on your other fish probably until it stresses it out and kills it :scared:

it just started recently. I had my tank up and running at school. Came home for 4 days, left an automatic feeder on the tank, however it didn't work. I returned to a fish that had been eaten (yellow damsel), I moved the tank home and since the move the 4 stripe has become even worse. It was fine before but now it's bad, and it only picks on the one fish. The blue isolates itself in the top corners of the tank instead of in the rocks and leaves itself open as a target. It's tail is gone and it's chewed up it's back. It was my 1st fish, it's what cycled my tank and it survived and now it's hard to let it go.

here's a pic of the damsel, could it be disease, I watched closely and it doesnt look like the 4 stripe actually bites the blue, he gets close and swims away

the best way to stop that is turn off all the lights and rearrarange everthing in your tank and leave it off for a few hours then turn it back on, it works every time for me when i get new fish. good luck.

Im my experience with damsels...they seam to know when one is sick and kill it.
I had 10 in a tank and all of a sudden they started killing a chromis for what seamed to be no reason, turns out there was some disease that started killing them first and it seams like they were trying to kill it off..

do yourself a favor and just get rid of the damsels. they aren't worth it. i've had damsels injure/kill too many of my fish. they are a great beginner fish, other than that.... they suck!

and do what with them, I don't have another tank and I can't just kill a fish, this has been going on for over a month and it's still kickin.

Yeah I'd recommend taking back the bully if nothing else. If you're attached to your 1st fish then get the one killing it outta there otherwise it's going to die. If it is sick, then the 4 stripe isn't helping it recover and by the looks of that pic, it'll be dead soon. Damsels are tough fish and I bet theres a good chance that guy recovers if you remove it's harrasser<sp>.

Get the bottom to a strawberry basket and catch the injured one and leave him in it at the bottom of the tank...Just be sure to get some food down there to him for a few days , he'll have his fins back..
Or even on of those in tank small breader tanks...
I saved mine buy catching it in a huge net and anchoring the net to the top so the fish was confined to the net..
