how do RO/DI hook up to a water supply?

In the picture you supplied, there is a thing that looks like a C-clamp on the left. The typical way of hooking up a filter like that is to attach the clamp to the water pipe under your sink and turn the handle. This pierces the pipe and lets water flow to the filter.
The only problem with this arrangement is that when you move you will have to leave the clamp/valve behind and get a new one. Plus your lease may prohibit actually making changes to your plumbing.
You might be able to make an adaptor to connect the filter to the faucet, but everytime you turn the faucet off you will be running the risk of getting air into the system. I don't know if that is a problem with RO systems, but it's something to think about.

Mine is setup identical to Kips... and is working great.
I decided not to use the pipe clamps so I could move it in the future if I decided to.

Mine is just like Kips and reefnuts.
One thing - Hey Kip - it looks like your system is above the drain. The directions on my unit say that the unit should be below the drain so water doesn't drain out of the system when it's off. Do you know if your DI filter every runs dry?
Maybe this problem is specific to the Kent units, but I wanted to check.

I wonder if there is any real truth to what the instructions on my system state then?
Also, my last chamber is always about half full.? Am I doing something wrong? I've closed off the clean water tube to let the chamber fill, but once I open the tube again it goes back to half full again. Wierd!
