How do tree sponges grow ?

what do they eat and how to they grow if you put them in low ligh areas what will help them grow ?

they're filter feeders. they need to be in a shaded area/ out of direct light.
most importantly, they cant be exposed to air.

They're non-photosynthetic... They depend mostly on phytoplankton, etc..

what about air bubbles coming from the return pump will that kill them ?

yeah if you have a lot of micro bubbles

i have alot of mircos with my new tank too, its the sump set up, it sucks im going to have to redo it

yeah i have no idea how to fix it i have a super skimmer and a mag 12...ill get it done eventually..for now i had to move the tree sponges into my other tank...untill i resolve the problem.
