i thaw out some mysis then use a turkey baster to blast the polyps when theyre open. it works best when the pump is off so that the food settles on the coral and doesnt blow away. some people put a plastic tupper-ware dish with holes in it over the coral and put the turkey baster in that way. i feed mine about 3x a week.

you can use dts phoytoplankton to induce polyps to open. it works on mine then feed mysis, cyclopeez etc.

I Just got 2 from trading here, I soaked them in a dish seprately with a couple of drops of DT. The little guyies are realy tiny. It perked them right up. I feed my larger one brine shrimp, other meaty cubes, and dt algea.
I feedthem daily, they are hungry little critters.

Cyclop-eeze freezer bar is the best in my opinion. One of the only foods to actually get them to open and have a good survival rate. Haven't messed with the DT's yet so I can't give any insight on that. I usually put a tiny amount of cyclop just to get them to open. After about 10 minutes when they are extended I put the full dose of cyclops in with the filter off for around 20 minutes so they can feed.

Get a tupperware with several 1/2 holes cut in it, and put it over the coral. Fill turkey baster with food/water combo, and squirt in the holes. Remove tupperware. done.
Pros: you dont have to turn off whatever flow you might have
Cons: have to use tupperware.
you decide.

I use the cup method. I get a few ounces of squidd, clam, shrimp, and mussels. Chop them VERY fine in a blender, add a bunch of frozen cycloppeeze and some selcon and zoecon. I spread it thin and freeze. Every other day i thaw a little in some tank water and squirt it in the tupperware container using a joes juice syringe. I leave the bowl on for 3-4 hours and then take it out.
Heres some pics, feeding and after

I do the turkey baster. I put cyclopeeze in the tank to get them to open then turn the pumps off to calm the water. I then have frozen food that I thaw for the baster and put food all over it. It seems to eat a lot of it before the fish grab some. I got mine from the lfs and was almost dead. It is now got about 7-8 new polyps.

Wow!!!!!!!!!! what else is there!!!!!! maybe a plate coral, by they're awfully agrressive for the size of your tank. a red mushoom maybe. mabe instead of adding more coral you could add a few colorful fish that are recomendedfor smaller tanks. Happy hunting!

I like to hand feed my sun coral silversides. I thaw them out in a little cup of tank water and then use some clean scissors to cut them into half inch pieces, then hand feed each polyp. I also put cyclopeeze in the water as well for everybody. I love these suckers.

I feed my sun coral a mixture of DT's, cyclo-peeze, mysis, plankton, and krill. I turn my power head off, and use a turkey baster to make sure that each polyp gets fed. I have a lot of sun coral all over my tank, so everything in my tank gets pretty well fed. I have to do about two water changes a week, to keep the params. good though, since the tank gets fed so much.
Here are some pics I just took. Thay are open-ish right now, but when they are fed, they are easily three times bigger than in the pics! (I will post pics of them when they are fat and fed tonight.)
The partially dead orange colony in the last pic is relatively new. The person who I bought them from did a horrible job of fragging, and all but that one polyp died! It is eating and growing now though.
I have to say they are my favorite thing in my tank, that's probably why I have so many!
