How do you catch a devil?

Does anyone have a fool-proof method to catching a blue devil chromis in an established reef tank without removing or moving any live rock. I have tried a couple of inventions involving PVC and string, but it seems that those reported fool-proof methods are really made to make you look like a fool! I need some input guys! Thanks.
