How do you clean?

I have some dead coral that was originally white that is now brown and shows no signs of getting whiter. Is there any way to get it back to the bright white it was when I purchased it? I thought I heard something about bleaching it but I was unsure if that was safe.
Any help is good.

Bleach is correct. Rubbermaid tube, bleach and water. Let it stand for a few hours (rinse the heck out of it) and in the summer I like to let mine sun dry. Well at least back when I did it.

We set ours out in the sun. Then rinse it very well. I'm too chicken to use bleach.

I bleached a piece last night and it looks good. Now anyone have any ideas on how to make sure that there is no bleach on it any more?

i've used the chlorine/water conditioner stuff!
what's it called..
ohhh....STRESS COAT.
clean water and a extra dose will do the trick!

Rinse it good, and I would set it in the sun for a few days.
