Well my mom didn't like it too much so now my aquariums are at my dad's house. He's cool about it, except all the skimmer problems we've had, but he knows it wasn't my fault so he just made sure I don't use the skimmer anymore.

yeah my mom doesn't like the fact that she usually pays for the horses mysis shrimp and BBS eggs and salt. and she doesn't like driving a half hour to the nearest lfs either, lol.
and for spilling water, thats what my dad don't like, thankfully our carpet is made to be ok for water. we have an indoor pool so we had to get carpet that wouldn't get nasty with water.
just tell them it's fun and that you like it alot. if they care they wil eventually shut up. if your lucky

actually.... my boyfriend got me into saltwater tanks! he started his first tank in my room and let me pick out everything and then like a month later I took it over! He loves saltwater stuff as much as me... maybe even more! so I'm giving him my 14 gallon stuffed with corals!

I do get pretty cranky when he makes a mess and gets saltwater splashes on EVERYTHING! I try to wipe every drop I find.

DeMartini - that was the same way with me! I wanted him to buy me a puppy for my new apartment but he bought me a saltwater tank instead. Didn't think I'd get as into it as I did! It works out well tho cuz he does the maintenance stuff and I keep tabs on the params and do all the livestock research

my mom hates my tank idk y she is always saying i spend to much money on it and ever time we leave the lfs she says "alright thats it for a while" its so annoying

mine is sorta like that but she likes the seahorses but she doesn't like much of what i got, like the conch or anything.

My mom used to keep telling me that "that algea looks bad, get it off the rocks" or "get this! it says it keeps your aquarium disease free" or "why can't that yellowish fish go in your tank? it says it only gets 5 inches big" so i taught her about it, and all of the bad/good things for tanks and she loves it now.
