How do you get rid of Red Slime Algae

What is the best way to get rid of red algae? What's the problem with my tank? Water quality? Lighting?

i tried a product called chem-clean it worked great, after i used it you have to do a 20% water change and i made sure i bought extra powerheads so i would have better circulation in my tank, i seemed to grow where there were some dead spots.i also use ro/di water .
