Hello,
Have a Coralife ProfloII - How do I know when to replace the DI filter? For some reason I'm thinking the DI filter will loose its blackish color as its used. we've made 125 G of water and no color change. Does it loose its color?
Thanks

I would get a TDS meter(total dissolved solids) to check the output water, the DI cartridge is good as long as the TDS reads Zero. You can go by color, but the TDS is more accurate.

You can also do an alk test when it is new and then when the alk goes up time for a new one.

i agree with trip kid...TDS meter is the way to go....i have the color changing resin as well...when it turned all brown i tested it and my tds was still at zero...so there is still some life left to it...hope that helps
