How Do You Modify Maxijets

I took a dremel and cut the nozzle off right at the base where it starts to flare out a bit. There was alot more flow after this. The only drawback is that when you turn it off and on it may change direction because the propeller inside will spin the oppossite direction. You just need to unplug it and plug it in again to get it to spin the right way.

The Dumas prop mod is the way to go with them. I think tripkid, pointed you at them maybe? Also you can buy a prefabbed mod now, called sureflow I think. By the time you buy all the odds and ends to get started, you might as well get the prefabbed jobber. It's much cleaner looking.

yeah, I said about the pre fab ones, much easier and cleaner looking like you said. I do have one of the tru DIY ones, run like a champ( I don't think you can buy the kits from MJ Mods anymore, stopped making them, it is twopartsolutions now), it does occasionally spin the wrong direction, when I shut the pumps off, it broke the stopper like the second time I did this, so now I just stick my finger in to stop the impeller and it starts to spin in the right direction.

That's it, thanks Teresa, I couldn't think of the other brand, I have heard really good things about these. I have two of the sureflow ones and they work very well also, I don't think the flow is as much as the one you have. I found out about them about 5 days too late, oh well.
