i was just wondering....how does everyone aquascape? do you use reef putty or anything to stick your rocks togeter? or stack em up? i have my rocks just kinda stacked, but i wanna make like an arch or something interesting so it doesnt just look like a pile of rocks in a tank.

Some people use putty, some people construct the entire thing outside the tank, drill holes, put supports in with PVC, then set the entire setup into the tank and fill with water.
It depends on what you are going for.
there are a few people that make man made live rock. IMO find one of them and have them make the 'arch' for you and avoid ANY stacking or building! You just send them a drawing and dimensions and WALAA! They lurk the boards just like you and me, just search around.
Good Luck!
Jessica.

I drill into each piece of LR and put in a plastic tube for support surrounded by apoxy, works very well and doesn't take that much time to do.

PEEF: plastic tubes like pvc?
will apoxy hurt the water quality? (im assuming not cause super glue wont).
how deep do you drill into your rocks?

No not pvc, I am actually not sure what it is called my LFS had it. It is a clear plastic tube about a 1/4 in think. The apoxy doesn't hurt water quality at all but make sure you get the kind designed for SWF. I drill about 1/2 into the rocks.

My current DT is stacked, but I'm slowly setting up a new DT and will be doing a ton of work 'scaping some base rock with reef putty, and will likely just stack the live rock on top of that when it comes time to cycle the tank.
