How does this stimulate the economy? Can someone explain this.

They were talking about this on "The View" today and they said that 1.5 million of it was going to build a water park in Miami. They just built a small water park here. Why would we need another one and how is that going to help the country? I realize that in the big picture it is not that much money, but its just another example.
Why in the hell does miami need another waterpark? How far is the ocean with all the water fun you could want from Miami. This is dumb...the more I hear about this more I want to much myself in the face..

....because no "package" goes thru without clauses. In order to get their vote, politicians will throw in whatever pork fat they have to in order to get another politician's vote. There is no telling what is truely buried in this bill...

Well, it also helps that they're selling T-bills at 0

you know what i don't like about all this federal spending? every single job that has federal money is geared towards unions. every single job becomes a prevailing wage job. based on what the union says is a fair wage for the work. basically, for plumbers and hvac techs, it makes any LISCENCED person on the job get paid roughly $55 an hour in CT. non liscenced but apprenticed usually around $35
i have one plumber on the payroll that gets supposedly around $30 an hour, i don't know what my hvac tech gets. we have two apprentices that get roughly $15-20 an hour if i had to guess.
what is the beef you ask? well, for the same amount of time the job can get done in, that's a 1.5 or more pay hike. ok, so we know this going in and bid accordingly. but... that pay hike means the federal government's money is used up 1.5 times faster than it should!!

(sigh) And so it begins...
What exactly is an injury prevention program, and why do they need $30million? I already know that the stove is hot and if I touch it I might burn my hand, and if I jump off the roof I might break my neck but hey...
Nothing for infastructure or alternative energies?
I wonder if congress can afford to give me $190,000 for school?

never said they should give me a job cause im union not one of the die hard union guys wanted to have a good wage, good health insurance, good retirement, and an annuity put everyone to work i dont care the more people workin the better... union carpenters have to find their own work not like sparkies who sign a book and then are given a job

Actually they voted "no" to porkulus obamaus. They did nto refuse to vote. They stood up to socialization and gov't spending out og control. Why should we tighten our belts when the gov't continues its uncontrolled liberal spending?
Obama ridiculed the excesses of Wall Street. Yet he wants gov't to spend to excess, even giving MORE money to those who abused it.
