how fast do blue hippo tangs grow?

I was thinking of buying a blue hippo tang, knowing i would need to upgrade to a large tank which i was planning on doing within a year. I was just curious how fast these fish tend to grow if purchased young, around 1 inch or smaller? thanks

Wait until you actually do the upgrade.While your intentions may be to upgrade,sometimes things don't turn out as we plan.
For the best results with a hippo,get a medium size that is healthy and eating.At least in the 3" range.

I bought one 4 months ago about a 1/2 inch long and now is 3 inch long.
Hope this give you an idea how fast they grow...
