How fast will a sand sifting Star fish kill the sandbed life of a 24g tank?

How fast would a Sand-Sifting Starfish kill everything and create a 'dead' sandbed in a 24g nanocube with like an inch and a half of sand ?

Around 2 months or so. Maybe less, maybe a little more.

Oh ok so he probably hasn't eaten it all, I've had one for a month I'd say, gonna take him out What can I use to replace him as a good sand sifter that won't eat everything from the sandbed??

Fighting conch and Nass. snails are really good and don't harm your sand bed.

can I keep Nass snails or is my tank not big enough? if I can, how many?

I have 10 large nass's in my 24 and they are enjoyin life in there!!!

I'll get as many as they give me for the Starfish.....
Question, I had the sand sifting star fish in my tank for about a month or so maybe a month and a week, my sandbed is only like 1 - 1 1/2 inches, do you think he killed everything in there and I should add more sand to have more sand bed life or should I just not think about it anymore and go along?
