How high above the water

Im about to hang my Nova Extreme Pro and make it a pendant light.
My question before I do it is how high above the water should I have it?
My tank is about 19 inches to the bottom of the sand bed

This is a t-5 fixture right? If it is and there is a glass cover over the bottom then would be able to have 2-4" over the top of the tank.

I decided to go 5 inches above tank
The problem is that I have to be able to work under the light because its the same dimensions as my tank

they have the hanging wires that allow you to lower and raise it as you please so you can get it out of the way for working on the tank
